Welcome to CAMTeC
The Composites and Advanced Materials and Technology Centre (CAMTeC) is a new initiative of the successful collaboration between The University of Sheffield and Boeing.
Operating under the umbrella of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC), CAMTeC will focus on developing a world-class centre of excellence in low temperature curecomposites and hybrid (composite/metal) structures.
CAMTeC is expected to create a range of commercial openings for partner companies, including SMEs, in a market for composites where demand is expected to exceed supply in under two years.
In forming CAMTeC, The University of Sheffield with Boeing is creating a world-class community in the Yorkshire and Humber region, where composite design manufacture and study interact to put best practice into a wide industry base and bring business into the region.
CAMTeC will play a central role in the development of the flagship Advanced Manufacturing Park in South Yorkshire and the development of a composites industry in Yorkshire and the Humber.
Supported by Yorkshire Forward, CAMTeC is proud to operate under the "Yorkshire Alive with Opportunity!" brand, which represents a holistic approach to a region that is as successful and dynamic as it is diverse.

“Composites and Advanced Materials for Manufacturers”

The University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre with Boeing invites you and your company to attend our third Advanced Manufacturing Forum event.
The seminar is entitled, “Composites and Advanced Materials for Manufacturers” and will be held at the recently completed Rolls- Royce Factory of the Future in Rotherham on Thursday March 13, 2008.
The event will start at 9:30 am, and conclude with a buffet lunch at 1:00 pm.
